Polish Wings Over Northern Ireland

On 20th until 22nd of August the Supermarine Spitfire Vb and Hawker Hurricane of the Polish Heritage Flight based at Duxford will be visiting Northern Ireland to fly over various sites related to the the Polish Air Force Squadrons, 303 and 315, based in Northern Ireland during WW2.

The aircraft will be flown by pilots Dave Harvey and Clive Denney and operated from the Ulster Flying Club. It is hoped that the the public will be able to view the aircraft over the weekend.

The visit is being organised by the For Your Freedom and Ours Polish community group in commemoration of the Poles who served and lost their lives in Northern Ireland during the war.
