What can i do on a Introductory Flight?
30 Minute Flight
During a 30 minute flight you could fly south over Strangford lough to Portaferry before turning north over the Ards Peninsula and back to Newtownards.
45 Minute Flight
During a 30 minute flight you could fly south over Strangford lough to Portaferry and then on to Downpatrick before turning north to return to Newtownards via Comber.
60 Minute Flight
During a 60 minute flight you could fly over Strangford Lough and as far south as Newcastle to view the stunning Mourne Mountains from the air before turning north to fly over the Ards Peninsula and return to Newtownards.
90 Minute Flight
During a 90 minute flight you could fly over Belfast City Airport before following the Antrim coast to Ballycastle, past Rathlin Island, the Giant’s Causeway and Portrush before returning to Newtownards via Bushmills & the Glens of Antrim.
Flight time as a passenger on an introductory flight will not count as training towards the grant of a pilot’s licence. Please see our trial flights if you wish to obtain a licence or have hands on control of a light aircraft.
About our Aircraft
The club currently operates a fleet of four aircraft which offer training and touring opportunities to both students and experienced PPLs.
Don’t forget, if you book out one of our 4 seat Cessna 172’s you can take 2 friends along with you for no extra cost!
